A Slave's Thought By spiritlass

Slave  Jealousies/Squabbles

As slaves, we are informed early in our training, that the Masters won't interfere in slave squabbles, and for some slaves that is an open arena for them. But, lets look first why slave squabbles happen: in many instances the biggest part is jealousy; another slave enters "their" home, "their" domain, attention is taken from the one whom considers themselves a "queen" of their home. Their so - called popularity, in their eyes, is not as it was, they are not the "darling" slave of the tavern/inn/camp/what have you. In most cases this so-called slave who feels threatened is insecure in themselves, and continues to plug earthly thoughts and emotions into the Gorean Culture. Another reason for slave squabbles is protection of ones sisters; although this is a normal emotion, for we do grow close with those we call sister, it is still something that should not be exercised in channel. Channel berating of any slave by another slave is in poor taste and shows an unslavelike attitude. As for other forums or means, if a slave wishes to speak in regards to the words or actions of another slave, it should be done with tact, and always reviewed by their Masters.

Even though we are trained that the Master's won't get involved occassionally they find themselves having too, when it gets to the point where the ambiance of the channel is disrupted. This slave will cite two examples of such times ...and the different handling of the two:

In a tavern, two slaves were openly arguing in channel, the Tavernkeeper allowed it to continue for a length of time, hoping the slaves would work it out. When it was obvious it was not going to happen, He immediately settled it. He took one slave and tossed her to the post, the other He tossed to a corner, and He looked sternly at each slave and said it was enough. Their behavior was not pleasing, not that of a kajira. The slave that was at the post, crawled upon her belly to that tavernkeeper, staying low she begged in open channel, for at least 5 minutes, for His forgiveness, before the Tavernkeeper even acknowledged her presence. When He finally did notice her, He pulled her up by the scruff of her neck, and nose to nose, asked her what she was. She replied timidly, "la kajira, Master", He placed her back on her knees and quietly, yet with the most coldness, and sternness in His manner, informed her to act like it, and to serve the tavern as the slave she was. The slave shook in real life for 3 hours, His words cut her heart and soul. She had displeased Him as well as others.

In another area, a slave was being mocked for her name, by another slave. She was every name imaginable. The slave being called the names, felt the pain of the attack in her heart, not for herself, that is and was of no consequence, but for the insult, the so-called slave gave to her Master, by mocking the name. The slave who was being called the names kept silent, not a word spoken, she contacted the Channel Owner, and notified Him of the happenings. The mocking slave was eventually removed for a period of time, till her Master could be found, and the matter settled. When the slaves Master finally appeared, He stood behind His slave, she was well within her rights according to Him. He failed to see the dishonor she brought to Him, failed to recognize the insult to the one He calls Brother. The Channel Owner, met with the Master and the mocking slave. They have all returned to the channel, the slave neither punished, nor made to apologize. Her displeasing manner apparently no concern to that of her so-called Master. The slave who was mocked left, respect shattered for a man she once thought a Master.

Two incidences, two different ways of handling them, in one instance, a Master took the matter in His own hands, and settled the issue, in the other, the so-called slave, called the shots, and her Master did nothing.

Slave jealousies/squabbles should never be in public, to do so, is not to be slave. A slave should never be allowed to ride over a Master, unless of course, His nose is too high between her thighs, and her mouth wrapped around His cyber manhood. We see alot of that on Gor these days. Is any slave to call these men Master?
