lassie{Aldr} Often times when a slave is abandoned, many factors could be involved, the Master weds his RL slave, the Master grows tired of the responsibility, or quite possibily the Master collars another in RL, and fails to inform those in His collar on IRC. Is this a sign of one who takes His collar, His lifestyle seriously?
When a Master is commited to His lifestyle, that collar He placed on His slave IS a responsibility, and sometimes that responsibility causes anguish and pain, when Real Life casts a blow that no one expected. But, if Master and slave are truly committed to their relationship, are truly willing to make it work, the sacrifices are indeed hard but liveable.
lassie's Owner has been transferred out of the country, it could be permanent or temporary, He will know in a few weeks. When this slave spoke to her Master on the phone, she could hear the pain in His voice as He debated on removing His collar, or leaving His lassie in a collar of a Master who would be on and off and gone sporadically. Ultimately the decision was with Him, but He, being the Master He is, asked His slave her thoughts. It took no hesitation, to say lassie wished to remain in His collar. lassie does not walk from a collar or relationship because the going gets a bit tough, or a glitch has been tossed into it, lassie is slave and unless released, will remain steadfast. He is her Owner, through thick and thin, good times and bad times.
To lassie the collar is much more than steel, about her throat: the collar encompasses her heart, soul, breath, body and mind. lassie could hear the smile form on His face, the stress, pain, and pressure removed from His voice as He listened to the words of His slave.
Sacrifices are great for both Master and/or slave when it comes to the Gorean lifestyle. He has chosen to keep His lassie in His collar. Master Aldur^ leaves this country, knowing that His slave awaits Him.
