- ~*~Questions
& Answers~*~
- Do you have questions
that you might be seeking an answer to? Well this is the
place to come and ask! Yes slave girls of Gor, we are
going to try to answer all of the grand and wonderful
questions that "we" as gorean slaves ask daily.
nairi and kyna are here to help, or at least try that is.
We will base our answers on fact, book knowledge, and of
course real life situations. This is a forum for learning
and not bashing so don't expect us to take sides ~wink~.
All questions are annonymous, meaning no names will be
mentioned, unless we use quotes with permission.
Remember, the only question that is ignorant is the one
not asked!
All
questions must be emailed to [email protected] (try to get
them in as soon as possible if you wish to see the answers by the
next issue date. We also take quotes and recipes should any of
you wish to submit them :)
- He is Master, and I
am Slave.
He is owner, and I am owned.
He commands, and I obey.
He is to be pleased, and I am to please.
Why is this?
Because he is Master, and I am Slave.

~*~This
week's questions ~*~
- Question
1: This girl has seen some tavern menus that include
"hot chocolate" as available for the guests. Is
there chocolate on Gor?
okay girls, rejoice! there *is*
chocolate on Gor. It is even grown there!! kyna is overjoyed by
this fact, a girl will have you know! kyna found this quote while
searching to affirm her suspicions that most people cannot live
without chocolate.
- "This is
warmed chocolate," I said, pleased. It was very rich
and creamy. "Yes, Mistress," said the girl.
"It is very good," I said. "Thank you,
Mistress," she said. "Is it from Earth?" I
asked. "Not directly," she said. "Many
things here, of course, ultimately have an Earth origin.
It is not improbable that the beans from which the first
cacao(?) trees on this world were grown were brought from
Earth." "Do the tress grow near here?" I
asked. "No, Mistress," she said. "we
obtain the beans from which the chocolate is made, from
Cosian merchants, who, in turn, obtain them in the
tropics."

Question 2
: this girl is on a quest... this girl wants to know what are
the gorean words for east, west, south, and north? can you
help me?
well, as usual, when we do not
know the answer and cannot find it, we approach Master _Marcus_ ,
the walking encyclopedia of things Gorean, and beg Him for help.
we cannot thank Him enough. when kyna begged answer to this
question, Master _Marcus_ told her this:
"There are no Gorean words
for North, South, East and West. That is because Goreans do not
classify direction according to the planet's magnetic pole...
this is because the Sardar Mts. has a magnetic field so powerful
that it overrides all compasses and lodestones.
Therefore, the Goreans use what I
call a "locationally relative compass."
The Gorean compass possesses a
needle which works likes a normal Earth compass, except that it
always points toward the Sardar Mts.This is true whether or not
the person who uses it is to the North, South, East or West of
the Sardar. Therefore ones classification of directions alters
depending upon ones actual position in relation to the Sardar.
I have attached a graphic which
illustrates the Gorean compass and how it works(kyna adds; the
compass is really cool. check it out at the link provided below).
Imagine taking such a compass and pointing the arrow toward the
Sardar Mts. The directions displayed at the other points would
then be relative to your current position.
The actual direction names are
listed as shown in the graphic, and are called
"Ta-Sardar-Vask" Ta-Sardar-Cart"
"Ta-Sardar-Rim" etc. You get the idea.
This is all explained in book 4,
on page 3.
This compass is from my Gorean map

thank you, thank you, thank you
Master _Marcus_!! and also special thanks to Master Danath for
His help in researching this question. :)
Question 3:
this girl was wondering where in the books there might be a
reference to why a girl holds a cup or goblet to her slave
heart for three ehn or three beats of her heart..
This question was asked of Master
Marcus last week. He answered it in his column, you can have a
look at it in the archive section here at The Gorean Daily Times.
ei`lis would like to add a little comment to it, a slave
opinion....since it was asked of us as well.
There is no reference, as Master
Marcus said, to this in the books, but it is something commonly
done on IRC. ei`lis thinks it is more done as an image. if we
were serving the Master in real life, he could see our love,
devotion in our eyes, feel that desire to please, so maybe
holding the cup to our heart is the IRC way of expressing those
feelings. Giving the Master a visual, if you will. On the other
hand it is now so common that ei`lis is not sure it still has any
meaning. Maybe we slavegirls need to use our imagination a little
"beat" (j/k) more to find new ways to express our
feelings. Maybe we need to struggle to be more pleasing, more
inventive in our service....something to think about in any case.
Question 4:
this slave has often seen new girls to irc Gor being
treated harshly by Masters for their mistakes. For Masters,
it is their right to do such, but a girl has to wonder why
other slaves laugh or giggle when they see it? Shouldn't we
be more supportive, more understanding? Care a little more?
This is not an easy question, nor
is it easy to answer. There are no references in the books to
give an answer to this, so we must use human emotions. ei`lis has
done a lot of thinking about this, trying to understand first,
*why* do we laugh or giggle when another is having a hard time?
For many, ei`lis thinks it is a way to 'impress" the Masters
present, or to show that we agree with Him...think He is funny,
that He is a great Master... ect... or perhaps it is often
because that what the Masters are doing/saying really *is* funny,
maybe because we know this Master and know that He is just having
fun with the girl and isn't really trying to hurt her.. but in
most cases, if the girl is new, she doesn't see it that way at
all. she is not having fun, perhaps she is even terrified.
So what to do? First of all, try
to remember our first day on irc Gor. Think back to the feelings
we had, how hard it was, the insecurity, the shyness we felt. We
can't, as slaves, interfere with a Master's actions, it is not
our place to talk, or even judge what a Master is doing, but we
can, at least, hush, and not add to another's misery. And if at
all possible, without interfering with the Master's actions, send
a private message to the girl, tell her not to worry, help her
deal with the situation, help her learn from it, like perhaps
another did for us. We can help her afterward as well, to find
resources for learning, give her information, a hug, some
comfort, so that she can grow instead of just feeling hurt and
ashamed.
ei`lis has to admit that sometimes
it is just plain funny, a subbie in need of a lesson who got it,
and well, we all laugh at that. ei`lis cautions us all to be
careful though, when dealing with these situations, and ei`lis
agrees with you, care a little more and reach out to those new
girls, for we were all there at one time, and maybe we should
remember that a little more. :)

things to think about ~*~
and the quotes continue....
palms turned
up!!!!
- "She
knelt in the position of the Pleasure Slave but her hands
on her thighs had unconsciously, pleadingly, turned their
palms to me, and she no longer knelt quite back on her
heels. It was as though she begged to be allowed to lift
and open her arms and rise and come to my arms. But as I
looked upon her sternly she turned her palms again to her
thighs, knelt back on heels and dropped her head, holding
her eyes as if by force of will fixed on the plastic
beneath my sandals.

Friendships
nothing is sweeter than a good friend...
- "The
slave girl, of course, will usually have many friends.
These are, of course, almost always wenches collared like
herself. Friends of her master will often bring their own
girls with them, in visiting, and with these, after the
men have been served, she many make friends, perhaps
chatting in the kitchen. later... She may also, of
course, meet girls in the streets, encountered in the
neighborhood, or on her errands. The slave girl, almost
always, has no dearth of friends. To be sure, they are
likely only to be mere slaves like herself. "
- page 209,
Guardsman of Gor
about that
sharing thing...
- "These
girls may be exchanged among the men, but commonly they
are not. Most masters are rather possessive about their
slaves, particularly if they are fond of them."
- page 209,
Guardsman of Gor
mmmm....are you
a paga hot slut always ready for your Master?
- and the difference between
Men and women....
- "Much
sex between a master and his slave is spontaneous and
casual, occurring whenever the master wishes, and not
unoften when the slave begs for it. The sweetness of
these sometimes sudden and transient ravishings, of
course, does not replace the lengthy feasts of love of
which the Gorean is fond; rather, they merely supplement
them. They are, in their way, merely another attestation
of the condition of the girl, that she is truly a slave
and must be ready, at any time, and in any place, to
serve her master's pleasure. The same girl who, fed by
hand, is lengthily ravished over a period of Ahn, or even
a day or two, may, at any other time, be merely told to
stretch herself over a table. She will do so,
immediately, unquestioningly. She is a slave. "
- page 202,
Guardsman of Gor
- "She
knows that she must be ready to serve, even on an
instant's notice. This tends to keep her, as the Goreans
say, rather vulgarly perhaps, "ready in her
collar.""
- page 208,
Guardsman of Gor
- "She, a
slave, she knows, is expected to be an obedient,
lascivious animal in her master's furs or, if permitted,
on her master's couch. Indeed, she will be punished
severely, if she is not. She is thus free, irreservedly,
joyfully, gloriously, to revel in her sensuality.
Furthermore, she knows that her most intimate
performances and qualities are likely to be discussed
openly and with candor by her master with others, perhaps
even in her presence. Accordingly, rather than becoming
ashamed of her sexual nature, she becomes quite proud of
it, and often becomes competitive with her imbonded
sisters, vying with them to become the most desirable
slave in the house, or in the circle of her
friends."
- page 209,
Guardsman of Gor
- "Sexuality
is important here, then?" I said. "Yes,
Mistress," she said. "Here sexuality is deeply
and fundamentally important, and here women are not men,
and men are not women. The sexes are quite different, and
here each is true to itself."
- page 54,
Kajira of Gor
- like a virgin..touched for
the very first time
- "Virginity,
as I understand it, in English," I said, "is
sometimes spoken of as though it might be something which
could be lost. In Gorean, on the other hand, it is
usually conceived of as something which is to be
outgrown, or superseded." "Interesting,"
she said. "What, in English," I asked, "is
a woman who is not a virgin?" She thought for a
moment. "A nonvirgin, I suppose," she said.
"this type of distinction is drawn in various ways
in Gorean," I said. "The closest to the English
is the distinction between 'glana' and 'metaglana'.
'Glana' denotes the state of virginity and 'metaglana'
denotes the state succeeding virginity. Do you see the
difference?" "Yes," she said, "in
Gorean virginity is regarded as a state to be
succeeded." "Another way of drawing the
distinction is in the terms of 'falarina' and
'profalarina.' 'Profalarina' designates the state
preceding falarina, which is the state of a woman who has
been penetrated at least once by a male."
- ..later...
- "I was
glana," she smiles. "Now I am falarina." I
put my hand, forcibly, over her mouth. Then I removed it
from her mouth. "Such expressions," I said,
"are commonly to be spoken of, and by, free persons.
They are not to be applied to slaves, any more than to
tarsk sows." "Yes, Master," she said.
"You were white silk," I said. "Now you
are red silk."

- on the pride issue....
- "Most
girls, in fact, sooner or later, wear their collars with
pleasure and pride."
- page 207,
Guardsman of Gor
- being carried across the
threshold of your new Master's home....
- "Of
course, my Master," she cried suddenly, delightedly.
"I have been carried across the threshold. And now I
have been put into whipping position! I am being
introduced into a house, in which I am to be a slave. My
mysterious master must, thus, be of Victoria, or of some
other city in which are practiced the customs of the
capture carry and the initiatory whipping!" The
point of these customs, of course, is clear. The girl
knows that she is carried into the house as a helpless
slave, and then, in the intiatory whipping, learns that
it is a house in which she is under discipline."
- page 200-201,
Guardsman of Gor
- *note* kyna
found this quote *most* interesting when thinking about
the tradition of the groom carrying the bride over the
threshold after a marriage...hmmm, kinda sheds new light
on that, eh? :)
- about...*shudder*...whippings....
how many ways can your Master whip you???
- "Then I
gave her ten strokes. This seemed to me a suitable number
for such a purpose. She shook, gasping, in the bracelets.
I timed the blows mercifully, and uniformly. I did not
use a random timing, nor did I use a customized timing,
in which the blows are indexed to the particular
psychological and emotional condition of the individual
slave. There are many ways to beat a girl. Against
several of them there is no way that a woman can maintain
resistance. I did not strike her with my full
strength."
- and later
- "I
tapped her on the back of the left shoulder with the
whip. One more blow was to be struck. "Yes,
Master," she said, "that blow which is to
remind me that I am a slave." ....This last blow is
often, though not invariably, added to a slave's
whipping. It is sometimes referred to as the
"gratis" blow, or the mnemonic blow. Often it
functions as little more than a stroke for, say, good
measure."
- page 204-205,
Guardsman of Gor
- about those chains you
wear....
- "It is
difficult to describe the subtle and exquisite emotions,
so profound, and helpless and feminine, which may be felt
by the chained woman. "You are chained, and a
slave," the chains say to her. "He has chained
you, and he is your master. He may now do with you as he
pleases. You are now in your place. Choice is gone. Now
you can be only, and wholly, a woman. Prepare now to
serve you Master, beautiful chained slave.""
- page 243,
Guardsman of Gor
- the expense of blackwine..and
how to drink it as a slave...
- "I
believe Master prefers his black wine 'second slave',
" she said. "Yes," I said. I watched her
pouring the beverage. She did so carefully,
deferentially, being careful not to spill a drop. I
noticed how her breasts depended from her body. How
marvelous it is to be served by a beautiful woman.
"There are two cups," she whispered. "One
is for you," I said. "Black wine is
expensive, she said. "Pour one for
yourself," I said "Even though I am a
slave?" she asked. "Yes," I said."
- later
- "May I
mollify my beverage?" "Yes," I said. I
watched her as she mixed in a plentiful helping of
powdered bosk milk, and two of the assorted sugars. She
then left the small, rounded metal cup on the tray.
"Why do you not drink?" I asked her. "A
girl does not drink before her master," she said.
"I see that you are not totally stupid," I
said. "Thank you, Master," she said. I then
sipped the black wine. She, too, then, after it was clear
that I had drunk, lifted her own cup to her lips.
"Yes," I said, "you may drink,
Slave." She then, head down, holding the small cup
by its two tiny handles, sipped the beverage."

Orange Salad Dressing~*~
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Grated peel and juice of
two oranges
- Grated peel and juice of
1 lemon
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon flour
- Few grains salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup heavy cream,
whipped
- 1. Mix Eggs, orange and lemon
peels and juices in top of a double boiler, Gradually add
a mixture of sugar, flour, and salt, blending well. Add
butter.
- 2. Cook over boiling water,
stirring constantly, until thick, about 10 minutes. Cool.
- Blend cooled mixture with
whipped cream.
- When this girl goes shopping
for this fruit salad, she usually adds any fruit that
looks good. If you don't have some of the fruits in your
area, don't worry about it. Just add something else.
(Tangerines, star-fruit, usually different types of
apples and pears. The surprise is that each time she
selects a something different to add to the salad that
she has not used before. The family has to guess what new
item is added. Perhaps some shredded coconut, maraschino
cherries, strawberries, walnuts. If you are lucky enough
to live near a supply of fresh larma fruit, ta-grapes,
red-fruit, or tospit, throw them in too :) it can't help
but add to the flavor. (Go easy on the tospit, it is
bitter).
