When a slave has been displeasing

lassy has taken some time to go back through some of the source books, one in particular "kajira of Gor". When lassy first read it, ohhh about 7 years ago or more, she thought it slow reading, and perhaps didn't pay half as much attention as she should have. However, this time, it was hard for lassy to put it down.

When Lady Shiela, the Tatrix of Corcyrus, was led by Drusus Rencius and Hermidorus through the House of Kliomenes, Home of the slaver, Plubius, she saw that when slaves were displeasing, they were taken to task, whipped as needed, made no difference who was about, or who watched. Unknown to the Men about her (well perhaps not) her belly burned with desire.

When lassy first came to I.R.C. Gor, that is pretty much the way it was. To enter a tavern was consensual, the slave who entered, and remained, remained under the rules of the tavern, every one of them! Or they faced the post, collared or not.

Now look at Gor today:

Girls can be displeasing, Gorean Males turn their backs, look disgusted, and the slave is not taken to task. Made to beg forgiveness, then forgiveness granted. Simple as 1-2-3. However, for a girl who is slave, within her very being, it is not as simple as 1-2-3. The guilt she carries will prevent her from making that same type of mistake.

"Girls who wear collars, are not permitted discipline by anyone other than their Masters." lassy must have by-passed that in the source books as well, and if anyone can give lassy the book and page number of which that is written, please send it to her via this publication. If lassy recalls, and she has been looking steadily, any Freeperson can whip any slave if they are found displeasing. If they damage the slave, then they must compensate the Master that owns the slave.

On Gor, and if we are to simulate it, as closely as possible, but within the confines of consentuality, where is it that a slave must consent to punishment?? She either complies with the command given, or she doesn't. If she doesn't then the slave should be kicked and banned from the channel as it was in the past. The collar should not protect any slave from punishment, for any crimes, real or imagined. A girl would think that entering the tavern/inn is a form of consent to abide by the rules, and punishments of that particular place.

Back to the book:

In the slavers House, girls were made to beg openly that they will be pleasing, they begged to please, to serve, to be permitted to please. Now, lassy would have to agree that perhaps a slave typing that in a channel, could be annoying and distruptive to the channel flow. Or could it? Perhaps the cries of a slave in her most heated passion, could serve a lesson to others, as well as educate the slave that is begging, reinforcing her lesson of displeasure and how to again be pleasing. Too many posts now collect dust, used to hang the cloaks of the FreePerson.

Sure, You will find the girl who paints her toe nails, or speaks to others while she is being corrected, but then again, if the punishment continues, she will eventually tire and never return. She is not getting what she came after, is that any great loss to the Gorean culture? There are some who will understand, there are many who never will. The Gorean Lifestyle is not for everyone.
